1.The surgery

charte de qualité

Once you have taken the decision to proceed with a hair transplant, you should contact the clinic to agree upon a date. The date will only be definitive after the payment of the deposit (see pre-operation instructions).
The remaining amount will be paid on the day of your surgery.

Prior to the procedure, the patient should read and sign a Declaration of Informed Consent.
The Informed Consent form explains the general provisions as well as the operating procedure: a summary of the decisions regarding the strategy, the area to be covered and the agreed density.
As a general rule of thumb, the operation starts early in the morning and ends late in the afternoon. Foreign patients should arrive the day before their procedure in order to be fresh and ready for the operation the following morning.

bandelette strip

The area of the strip is always shaved. Contrary to current practice, adjacent areas are not shaved. This means that although the suture is initially more difficult to make, it is undeniably more advantageous as the suture is invisible in a hair zone.

Local anesthesia is administered. The suture uses non-resorbable thread material, which will be removed fourteen days later. The incisions are distributed across the hair transplant zone. At the end of the morning or the beginning of the afternoon placement starts.

Dr Devroye or one of his assistants will run through post-operation instructions with the patient at the end of the surgery.

A set containing a spray, ice and painkillers is provided to the patient, to be used during the night following the intervention.
You will not be able to drive in the evening following your surgery. As a result, you need to provide for other means of transport. The patient must visit the clinic the next morning to ensure that everything is fine.
